On the 13th of September, the ARROW Foundation hosted a fun afternoon of activities in celebration of Roald Dahl Day. Children were having educational fun at its finest as they participated in reawakening the highly acclaimed British author Roald Dahl’s story books on his birthday. With the first event for this academic year at the A.R.R.O.W. Centre in Pembroke Street, Port of Spain, children discovered more Roald Dahl treasures through his quirky, quaint and crazed stories such as Matilda, The BFG, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factor
y with exciting games, quizzes, art and competitions.
The colourful, explosive atmosphere of literature as you walked into the centre showered the children with intrigue and excitement for what was to follow. Ambitious parents gathered all hoping that their child would win the free highly successful literacy programme as the children eagerly recited some of his words from his publications one of the competitions.A.R.R.O.W.’s next event promises just as much activity and enthusiasm with added drama as they present an evening of animated storytelling with well-known storytellers that we all love, as well as more competitions and prizes.
